Additional notes regarding the technical specifiaction of Honda CBF 600N:
- Fuel consumption (fuel economy) measured in L/100km or MPG (miles per gallon) shows how many liters of fuel the motorcycle burns for a 100km rum and respectively how many miles it can run with one gallon of fuel. The fuel efficiency of Honda CBF 600N based on its technical specifications will let it run for 49 miles burning one gallon of fuel. It also means that it will burn 4.80 liters on a 100km trip. So if Honda CBF 600N has a tank full of 5 gallons of fuel it can be ridden for 245 miles till we run out of gas. Of course we better make sure we top it up again before that happens.
- Engine size (displacement ) of 600 cc - this is the partial volume of the combustion chamber swept by all the pistons in a single movement from bottom dead center to top dead center. The more cubic centimeters the displacement volume the more power the engine generates. The displacement is commonly specified in cc (cubic centimeters) or liters and based on the Honda CBF 600N specifications its engine displacement is 600 cubic centimeters.
- 140 mm ground clearance - this can be defined as the distance between the lowest point of the CBF 600N's chassis and the level ground surface below it. Usually off-road bikes have higher ground clearance while sport bikes have lower ground clearance.Honda CBF 600N bore and stroke diagram
- Bore and stroke 65x45.2 - these parameters may be presented as bore/stroke ratio in some technical specifications. This ratio refers to the diameter of the cylinder bore divided by the length of the piston stroke. The bore diameter of Honda CBF 600N is 65 mm and the stroke length is 45.2 mm as per its technical specification. As per the parameters of this Honda engine the measure of the bore is bigger than the stroke which means that CBF 600N has the so called short stroke engine.
- Compression ratio 11.6:1 of a motorcycle engine is the ratio of the volume of the combustion chamber when the piston is at the bottom of the stoke and its volume when the piston is at the top of the stroke. To avoid engine knocking when compression ratio is high those motorcycles might be recommended to use premium fuel only. With internal combustion engines the higher compression ratio allows higher efficiency because the combustion temperature is reached with less fuel.
- Chain final drive: There are currently three ways to drive power from a motorcycle engine to its rear wheel - chain, belt and shaft drive. Since they all have their specific advantages it is hard to tell the best among them. Each of them has proved to be a successful technology for the years it has been used by bike manufacturers. The final drive of Honda CBF 600N is chain.
motorcycle driven by chainIt is a fact that the majority of motorcycles around the world are driven by chains. Chains are simple and efficient way to transmit horsepower from the engine to the rear wheel. The down points of the chain drive are the frequent maintenance required as it needs to be regularly cleaned and oiled. Besides it is not as smooth as a shaft or belt drive.
- Liquid cooling system: motorcycle engines can be air cooled or liquid cooled and they both have their advantages. Although the liquid cooled motorcycle has a radiator and hoses and require more maintenance it provides better regulated temperature to the engine.Honda CBF 600N - installation of turn signals
- You can easily find out how to replace the Honda CBF 600N turn signals and quickly do it yourself. Reconnecting the motorcycle turn signals cables would not be a problem as these wires are generally color coded. In the case of box connection all you have to do is clip off both ends (the male and female). After the new Honda CBF 600N turn signals are placed on make sure they are connected to the right slots as previously marked.Picture of Honda CBF 600N cover
When choosing a motorcycle cover the dimensions of the Honda CBF 600N should be taken into consideration. Any aftermarket accessories that affect the dimensions of the bike should be considered. The cover length, width and height might need to be bigger if saddle bags, fairings or backrest have been installed on the motorcycle.
