The bigger engine size of Yamaha Fazer FZ-1 in comparison to Suzuki GSX650F doesn't mean that it is more powerful or better performing bike. Both bikes has the same compression ratio of 11.5:1. This represents the biggest volume of the cylinder when the piston is located at the lowest point of the stroke compared to the minimum volume of the cylinder when the piston is at the highest point of the stroke.
The bike with a better fuel economy is the Suzuki GSX650F which can travel 39.9 miles with one gallon of fuel. Yamaha Fazer FZ-1 on the contrary can travel 37.6 miles with a gallon. There are two ways of showing the fuel economy of a motorcycle - describing how many miles it can travel with a single gallon of fuel (mpg) or how many litters of fuel it is burning on a 100 kilometer trip (l\100km).
front and rear tires The producer of each bike specifies the sizes of its front and rear tyre. Your individual riding style is another factor that determines which type is appropriate in your case. The code designators located on the side of each tires is something that you should be aware of if you want to find proper tires for your bike. The width of the tire measured in millimeters is shown first. Both motorcycles have the same with of their front tires - 120 mm. The profile of the tire is revealed by the second number. The third of the code numbers reffers to the size of the rim and it is measured in inches. Prices of motorcycle tires can easily be compared online and purchesed at good price.
Yamaha Fazer FZ-1 has bigger ground clearance than Suzuki GSX650F (135mm vs 125mm). The ground clearance is also called the ride height and that is the distance between the base of the tyre and underside of the motorcycle’s body (the chassis). In other words that is the shortest distance between the road surface and the lowest mechanical part of the motorcycle.
Yamaha Fazer FZ-1 appears to be faster than Suzuki GSX650F with top speed of 246km/h against 217km/h for the other bike. However sources may vary as to whether these top speed parameters are precise or only approximate.engine of a liquid cooled motorcycle
Suzuki GSX650F is liquid cooled and so is the Yamaha Fazer FZ-1. The pretty constant ranges of operating temperature are typical for the liquid cooled engines. Therefore liquid cooled motors can run with carburetion set to burn all the fuel in the mixture. The coolant is circulating into the radiator and back to the engine driven by the water pump. A thermostat turns on an electric fan to draw more air over the radiator in case the motorcycle slows down and the air flowing through the radiator is not enough to cool the liquid inside it to the desired level. Liquid-cooled engines are usually more forgiving because the hot engine has some surrounding coolant to heat up before causing any damage from overheating.
motorcycle driven by chain Suzuki GSX650F and Yamaha Fazer FZ-1 are both driven by chain. Most motorcycles are produced with chain drive because of its economical way to transfer power to the rear wheel and convey the biggest percentage of engine power in that process. However all chains require keeping an eye on them and proper lubrication when they get dry and cleaning when they get dirty.
Compression ratio - this parameter refers to how the cylinder's space changes from when the piston is down at its lowest point to when the piston is up at its highest point in the stroke. Its value for Suzuki GSX650F is 11.5:1 and for Yamaha Fazer FZ-1 is 11.5:1 based on the technical data of the motorcycles. To avoid engine knocking when compression ratio is high those motorcycles might be recommended to use premium fuel only. Engines with higher compression ratio are more energy efficient because they are able to extract more mechanical energy from a certain amount of fuel.
Engine oil is among the most important aspects of an engines health. Many different types of engine oils are available as minerral, part-synthetic and synthetic and they all come at different price. 3700 miles (6000 km) between oil changes is widely accepted rule. More kilometers between two oil changes is accepted when synthetic oil is used. Depending on the oil filter it needs to be replaced on each or every two oil changes. Both motorcycles have different oil capacity according to the technical specs - 3.0 litres for Suzuki GSX650F and 3.7 litres for Yamaha Fazer FZ-1. The oil capacity information is only to get an idea of how much oil roughly will be needed on oilchange. The best way to pour the exact quantity of oil is to observe the dipstick or the level sight window.
