Looking at the detailed specifications of both motorcycles Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa and Yamaha Fazer FZ-1 is a proper approach to determine which of the two is more likely to match your style of riding and to satisfy your preferences. Your choice of motorcycle should be all about your individual preferences and comfort level. After comparing one motorcycle versus another and so on, the circle of favourite models will be then eventually narrowed to several ones. The most appropriate method of exploring them is to actually ride each of them or at least sit on them to see how they feel.

The bigger engine size of Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa in comparison to Yamaha Fazer FZ-1 doesn't mean that it is more powerful or better performing bike. The second bike has the advantage of greater compression ratio of 11.5:1 than the other one. It represents the relation between the biggest and the smallest volume in the combustion chamber while the piston is performing its stroke movement. When the mixture of air and fuel in the combustion chamber has bigger pressure (higher compression ratio) when it is ignited then it burns more effectively and therefore these bikes tend to have better fuel economy (comparing engines with equal displacement).
The bike with a better fuel economy is the Yamaha Fazer FZ-1 which can travel 37.6 miles with one gallon of fuel. Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa on the contrary can travel 35.1 miles with a gallon. There are two ways of showing the fuel economy of a motorcycle - describing how many miles it can travel with a single gallon of fuel (mpg) or how many litters of fuel it is burning on a 100 kilometer trip (l\100km).
front and rear tires The size of the tyres is specified by the producer for each motorcycle. Your individual riding style is another factor that determines which type is appropriate in your case. Tires have a code of numbers and letters printed on their sides and these are important to be understood properly when looking for matching tires. The width of the tire is represented by the first number. Both motorcycles Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa and Yamaha Fazer FZ-1 have the same width of their tires - 120 mm for the front tire and 190 mm for the rear one. The second number show the aspect ratio. How many inches is the diameter of the rim - that is what the tird number reveals. Prices of motorcycle tires can easily be compared online and purchesed at good price.
The ground clearance (ride height) of Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa is 120mm and is smaller than the clearance of Yamaha Fazer FZ-1 which is 135mm. The ground clearance is also called the ride height and that is the distance between the base of the tyre and underside of the motorcycle’s body (the chassis). In other words that is the shortest distance between the road surface and the lowest mechanical part of the motorcycle.
The top speed of 312km/h makes Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa the faster of the two motorcycles. The other one (Yamaha Fazer FZ-1) can achieve a maximum speed of 246km/h according to its technical specifications. However sources may vary as to whether these top speed parameters are precise or only approximate.liquid cooling system of a motorcycle
Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa is liquid cooled and so is the Yamaha Fazer FZ-1. Liquid-cooled engines have a narrower range of operating temperatures compared to the air-cooled ones. Therefore the liquid-cooled engine runs more efficiently and consistently. The circulation of the coolant from the radiator to the engine is helped by the water pump. If the motorcycle slows down to a point where the air flowing through the radiator is not enough to lower the temperature of the coolant to the needed level, a thermostat will typically switch an electric fan on to increase the air flow through the radiator. A liquid-cooled engine happens to be quieter than the air-cooled one because all that liquid that surrounds the engine deadens mechanical noise.
motorcycle with chain final drive Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa and Yamaha Fazer FZ-1 are both driven by chain. Chain final drives are known for their simplicity and efficiency in driving power from the engine to the rear wheel of the motorcycle and are one of the most popular final drive options by far. However chains have their down points - more frequent need of maintenance (lubrication and cleaning) which means that a biker should always keep an eye on the chain especially in rainy days or dusty roads.
Compression ratio 11:1 means that the volume of gas in the cylinder when the piston is at the bottom of its stroke refers to the volume of gas when the piston is at the top of its stroke as 11:1. The compressio ratio of Yamaha Fazer FZ-1 is 11.5:1 and it is 11:1 for Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa according to the motorcycles technical data above. This is actually the relation between the biggest and the smallest capacity of the combustion chamber. If you got a motorcycle with a greater compression ratio for its specific engine it is getting better fuel economy than it would if it had a lesser compression ratio.
The good quality of the engine oil is an important factor in keeping the motorcycle in peak condition. Engine oils are different types as synthetic, mineral, part-synthetic and they all come at their price and qualities. The engine oil is to be changed on every 3700 miles (or 6000 kilometers) as a general rule. Synthetic oil can be changed less often though. The oil filter needs to be replaced too and that is usually to be done with the oil change. Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa takes 3.5 litres of engine oil. The technical specs of Yamaha Fazer FZ-1 determines its oil capacity to be 3.7 litres. The oil capacity information is only to get an idea of how much oil roughly will be needed on oilchange. The best way to pour the exact quantity of oil is to observe the dipstick or the level sight window.
