The bigger engine size of Suzuki GSX 1400 in comparison to Yamaha Fazer FZ-1 doesn't mean that it is more powerful or better performing bike. The second bike has the advantage of greater compression ratio of 11.5:1 than the other one. This parameter shows how the volume in the engine cylinder when the piston is at the bottom end relates to the volume when the piston is at the top end.
