technical specifications of Aprilia Pegaso Stradasee data separatelytechnical specifications of Yamaha Fazer FZ-1

The bigger engine size of Yamaha Fazer FZ-1 in comparison to Aprilia Pegaso Strada doesn't mean that it is more powerful or better performing bike. The second bike has the advantage of greater compression ratio of 11.5:1 than the other one. This represents the biggest volume of the cylinder when the piston is located at the lowest point of the stroke compared to the minimum volume of the cylinder when the piston is at the highest point of the stroke. When the mixture of air and fuel in the combustion chamber has bigger pressure (higher compression ratio) when it is ignited then it burns more effectively and therefore these bikes tend to have better fuel economy (comparing engines with equal displacement).
The bike with a better fuel economy is the Aprilia Pegaso Strada which can travel 42 miles with one gallon of fuel. Yamaha Fazer FZ-1 on the contrary can travel 37.6 miles with a gallon. Miles per gallon (mpg) is one way of describing the fuel economy of a motorcycle and liters per 100 kilometers (l/100km) is another.
how to buy motorcycle tires The size of the tyres is specified by the producer for each motorcycle. Your type of riding is also to be taken into account here. To choose the right tire size firstly you need to understand the meaning of the numbers printed on the size of the tire. The first number is the width of the tire in millimeters. The next number refers to the tire profile. And the third number indicats the diameter of the rim in inches. A good way to save some time and money is to purchase your motorcycle tires online at competitive price.
The ground clearance of Aprilia Pegaso Strada (250mm) is bigger than the one of Yamaha Fazer FZ-1 (bbb2mm). Usually given in millimeters in the technical data sheets, the ground clearance refers to the space between ground level and underside of a motorcycle’s chassis and sometimes is called ride height. That, in other words, is the smallest distance between any mechanical body part of the motorcycle and the surface of the road.
Yamaha Fazer FZ-1 is the bike with higher tested top speed (246km/h). On the other side Aprilia Pegaso Strada can achieve speed of 165km/h on the highway. However sources may vary as to whether these top speed parameters are precise or only approximate.Motorcycle with liquid cooling system
Those two motorcycle use the same cooling system - liquid. The pretty constant ranges of operating temperature are typical for the liquid cooled engines. Therefore liquid cooled motors can run with carburetion set to burn all the fuel in the mixture. The coolant is circulating into the radiator and back to the engine driven by the water pump. The amount of cooling can be regulated via thermostat, which helps holding the temperature at a relatively constant level. A liquid-cooled engine happens to be quieter than the air-cooled one because all that liquid that surrounds the engine deadens mechanical noise.
motorcycle driven by chain Chain final drive is used with both motorcycles - the Aprilia Pegaso Strada and the Yamaha Fazer FZ-1. Most motorcycles are produced with chain drive because of its economical way to transfer power to the rear wheel and convey the biggest percentage of engine power in that process. The down points of the chain drive are the frequent maintenance required as it needs to be regularly cleaned and oiled. Besides it is not as smooth as a shaft or belt drive.
Compression ratio of a motorcycle engine is the ratio of the volume of the combustion chamber when the piston is at the bottom of the stoke and its volume when the piston is at the top of the stroke. The compressio ratio of Yamaha Fazer FZ-1 is 11.5:1 and it is 10:1 for Aprilia Pegaso Strada according to the motorcycles technical data above. This is actually the relation between the biggest and the smallest capacity of the combustion chamber. Higher compression ratio means bigger pressure of the fuel/air mix in the combustion chamber and better efficiency achieved of its ignition.
To keep the engine in good health it is important to observe the good qulity and proper level of the motor oil. Mineral and part-synthetic engine oils are cheaper when it comes to price in comparison with the most technically advanced synthetic motor oils. It is commonly accepted engine oil to be changed on every 3700 miles (6000 kilometers). Synthetic oil can be changed less often though. Depending on the oil filter it needs to be replaced on each or every two oil changes. According to the technical specs the engine oil capacity is 2.2 litres for Aprilia Pegaso Strada and 3.7 litres for Yamaha Fazer FZ-1. When changing the oil it is advisable to put less than the specified oil capacity and to check the level. Observing the currrent level on the dipstick or the level sight window is the best way to pour the proper amount of oil.
